Canon Hadirkan EOS 600D dan EOS 1100D

Seperti yang gencar dirumorkan, hari ini Canon membuat dua upgrade untuk jajaran DSLR Rebel, dimana EOS 1000D akhirnya digantikan oleh EOS 1100D (Rebel T3) dan EOS 550D diteruskan oleh EOS 600D (Rebel T3i). EOS 1100D akan dijual di kisaran 6 jutaan dan menempati posisi DSLR ekonomis untuk pemula, sedang EOS 600D yang akan dijual dengan harga 9 jutaan posisinya menjadi semakin tanggung karena harganya sudah mendekati kamera setingkat diatasnya seperti EOS 60D.

Canon EOS 550D atau Nikon D3100 ???

Sejatinya harga DSLR pemula itu trennya terus turun namun di sisi lain setiap ada produk baru yang muncul selalu dituntut adanya peningkatan fitur.  Padahal tidak semua dari kita perlu ada peningkatan fitur apalagi kalau harus dibayar dengan kenaikan harga kamera generasi baru. Canon EOS 550D sebagai produk terbaru dari DSLR pemula Canon, lalu disusul Nikon D3100 adalah contoh nyata dilema yang terjadi saat ini. Keduanya sementara ini dijual di kisaran 6,5 jutaan, sudah terlalu mahal untuk ukuran kamera pemula yang secara psikologis semestinya ada di angka 4 jutaan.
